Vicki Squires, Associate Professor Department of Educational Administration, College of Education University of Saskatchewan Dr. Squires began her professional career as a teacher and then a vice principal; upon completion of her doctorate, she took on a new challenge working in assessment and strategic planning of student services. The next professional opportunity that arose led to her appointment as faculty in Educational Administration. Dr. Squires’ research interests are centred on student wellbeing and success in post-secondary education. This broad topic includes issues of administration and governance, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and the role of student services in supporting students. Student self-efficacy and student engagement, which are essential to student persistence and student resilience, are critical elements of student wellbeing and success. Other areas of interest include policy development, organizational theories and leadership theories, all of which are key elements of governance.
