Program Evaluation at a Health & Wellness Centre
Date & Time
Friday, August 13, 2021, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM

This session focuses on an evaluation and quality improvement (QI) program at a post-secondary integrated (medical and mental health) Health & Wellness Centre. The evolution of the evaluation program will be presented, highlighting how in-house systems and processes can be used to support evaluation and QI. The Centre’s evaluation framework will be reviewed, including logic models and metrics (outcomes, outputs) of the stepped care model. The session will provide highlights of data-driven decision-making in program development, policies, and services. Participants can expect to learn “how-to’s” of program evaluation and quality improvement in a real-world setting and to maximize existing resources to support these efforts.

Learning Objective 1:
To consider methods to create an infrastructure to support program evaluation.
Learning Objective 2:
To understand the interplay between service delivery, program development and program evaluation from a real-world example.
Learning Objective 3:
To be able to identify examples of outputs, outcomes, and indicators, relevant to a university health and wellness centre.
