Innovative upstream programs are more important than ever as the number of post-secondary students experiencing mental health problems increases and the demand for services continues to grow. These issues have only been exacerbated by COVID-19; therefore, it has become essential for initiatives to adapt to operate within this unprecedented pandemic. In 2021, Queen’s University modified a pre-existing “Prescription Exercise at Queen’s (PEQ)” program to ensure it could continue regardless of COVID-19 community status. This session will provide an overview of our COVID edition PEQ program which incorporated the new Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines and provided students with additional social connection through a brief action planning component. We will share program implementation evaluation findings and data demonstrating how the program impacted movement behaviours in addition to anxiety and depression scores from pre, post and 8-week follow up questionnaires.
